Nastassja Martin is a French anthropologist and writer who specializes in the Far North and the study of indigenous populations. Known above all for the episode in which she was attacked by a bear, the author recounts the event in the book In the In the Eye of the Wild (New York Review Books, 2021). She is also against the expansion of ski areas.
